My name is Joe Stewart. I'm a designer and Founding Partner of Work & Co.

Work & Co was founded 4 years ago and now has 225 employees across 3 offices in New York, Portland, & Rio; and 3 satellite offices in San Fransisco, Belgrade, and São Paulo. We are a digital product design company focused on making the things people use every day.

Recently, Fast Company named Work & Co to its 10 Most Innovative Companies in Design list for 2017. We were also named to the Ad Age A-List for the last 2 years.

My personal client list includes Apple, Virgin America, YouTube, Target, & Rapha.

I recently redesigned the website & app for Virgin America with Felipe Memoria, and their logo with Jesse McMillin. That work won at Cannes, the Clios, The Webbys (3 years in a row), The Pixel Awards, & took the Grand Prize at The UX Awards.

I'm currently working on several projects for Apple.

Recently, I was named to the Fast Company Most Creative People in Business 1,000.

Net Magazine named me one of the Top 50 Web Designers.

I've been a design juror for SXSW Interactive Awards, The Webby Awards, Fast Company Innovation by Design Awards, Cannes, & The Pixel Awards.

My work has been featured in Communication Arts, Wired Magazine, How Magazine, Fast Company, Net Magazine, Creative Review, Ad Age, Ad Week, The New York Times, & on

I like to do talks at design conferences, and have recently spoken at Design Week Portland, Creative Mornings, The Delight Conference, & more.

Before Work & Co, I was a Partner & the global head of creative at Huge.

I'm lucky enough to be the age where I have only ever been a digital designer, versus coming from another design medium. I started my career in 1998 at the age of 19, and I am now 39.

I'm not on social media, but feel free to email me.
